more injuries sigh

Some people just aren't made for running. I'm starting to believe I'm one of those people. Yesterday Vicki and I left for the gym at 4:40am to do our last long run. No point on trying it outside after Saturdays adventure :) I was doing well. I was getting into the groove and feeling like i was going to finish right on time if not a few minutes sooner. Then at 16k my knee started to really bother me. it was out of no where. I have never had problems with me knees. I slowed it down to try walking it out but nothing was helping. I continued to run another .75k and then couldn't take it anymore so i had to stop. So discouraging!!!! As i was walking away Vicki (who was listening to her music apparently pretty loud) yelled "Good job, Kare" she yelled is so loud a saw a few people jump. It was pretty funny. Anyway, i showered and got ready for work then walked to the train. The stairs killed me. I didn't realize how many there were until couldn't walk them lol. I iced my knee through out the day but by lunch time it was worse. Anyway, to make a short story long, i think it's my IT band so now I'm doing even more stretched in the mornings and night. Seriously it's so annoying and makes me want to give up on running. it's a good thing i enjoy it (when not in so much pain) after this 1/2 i think I'm going to stick with under 10k's for awhile. let me poor old body heal. Oh i should mention that it's my left knee that hurts and my right foot that has plantar fasciitis. I'm a mess :)

Side note my bruises from Saturday are slowly popping out. I have a new one on my hand today. The one on my hip it slowly coming out but man is it painful. I think i bruise a lot easier since i lost weight.

11 more days and it will all be over!!!!!

Don't let a bad run discourage you! Just think now you've had a bad run or two so you are now due for a few good runs!
